Don’t let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning.

We are planning to create a series of videos on Swedish medical terminology, and this is the first one! Watch the video and complete the exercises and the quiz we have created to go along with it.
We offer...
Our main activity is organizing a Swedish språkcafé on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. Scroll down to see our weekly program, and for more information about our språkcafés visit our språkcafé-page (menu).
Knowledge of medical Swedish is needed! Medical terminology in Swedish has largely been translated into Swedish, meaning that terms of Latin or Greek origin are not used to the same extent as they are in English. This is great for native Swedes, given that they have largely translated their medical terminology; however, for those of us who need this terminology and are learning Swedish, it means we must also master this specific aspect of the language - and that is precisely the aim of this part of our work at Online Språkcafé.
This is our new språkcafé that started in March this year. If you need to keep your English in good shape or if you are learning it, come and join us on Monday evenings. For more information about our språkcafés visit our språkcafé-page (menu).
If you need to brush up on your Swedish grammar, check out our language workshops. We publish a new one every week. Tip: On Wednesdays we play a quiz based on these exercises, so you can prepare in advance for the quiz by doing the exercises in this week's language workshop. Click on the title of this box to see our language workshops.
Every week at our språkcafé we discuss a new topic. Each topic contains more than 40 questions that help us diversify our vocabulary and lead interesting conversations. Tip 1: You can use our discussion questions to practice speaking or writing on your own. Tip 2: On Sundays we play vocabulary quiz. I create the questions for the quiz based on the colored words in the discussion questions. You can prepare for the quiz by checking their meanings. Click on the title of this box to see all our discussion topics.
